The point is to give Mathare a voice

We aren't trying to cause trouble...

But that seems to follow when inequalities are exposed. To keep us and our friends safe, we will not disclose when in 2008 we will be filming this documentary.

Nor will we disclose any logistic information until the footage has been shot. Only our closest friends and donors will know the details of this endeavor.

As for the legal disclaimers that inundate all of us these days, just know that we are not responsible for anything! All I can promise is that if you donate money or equipment to this project, we will acknowledge you as we said we would here. You will also notice a charge from PayPal and/or EveryThink LLC if you use your credit card to contribute money. That is because EveryThink is donating the merchant services for this project at no fee to you, or the overall budget of the DVD.

If for some unknown reason we are unable to travel to Kenya, we will give you back your donation. Other than that, we cannot be responsible for anything at all that physically stops us from making the documentary once we leave the U.S.

We are doing this because we want to make a positive difference in people's lives. If that is not enough proof that our word is good, then don't trust us and please don't bother us - we've got a lot of work ahead of us to make sure this documentary is great.

The film makers?
Is that the label we're going to use to describe what it is we are doing in making this documentary? At least it will let people know that we are the ones getting this colossal project from idea to DVD. It does not do us justice though. Our intent is to help people. Help the people in Mathare that could not otherwise connect to you. Help the Mathare Roots Youth Group to expand their positive social programs. And selfishly help ourselves to sleep knowing we have done these things.
